MONTANA 69044 February 1~. 1992 The meeting of the Yellowstone City-Countv Planning Board was brought to order at 7:~5 p.m. with the following members present: John Hawley Smith, Chairman Joseph M. Bradley, Citv ReD. Donna Kilpatrick, City Rep. Lonnie Kellogg, City Rep. Gerald Shay, Member at Large Donald Gu~gell, County ReD. Clarence Foos, County Rep. Russell Bray', County Rep. Others present: Cal Cumin, City Planner Cheryll Lund, City Secretary Lisa Greenwood, 1422 W. Ramshorn Mr. & Mrs. William Golf, 215 5th Ave. Members absent: Larry Thomas, City Rep. Jim Ziegler, County Rep. Billielou Lance, County Rep. o.~Home Occupation- Wm. Goff, 215 5th Ave.- Taxi Service. ~ i~,~! ~ Mr. Goff of 215 5th Avenue have applied for a Home Occupation to .,~ d run a taxl service out of his home'. Phone calls will be taken at ~" his home, no customers will come to his home. His hours Of work will be 7 am to 7 pm and he will charge approximately .SOC below the rate that the Billings taxi's charge. He will take customers to Billings, if the need arises. Question by Don Gudqell as to whether or not Mr. Goff has contacted the Public Service Commission concerning his new proposed business. Mr. Golf states that he has not contacted them, but will do so. Cal states that this Home Occupation does fit under the ~uidlines of Home Occupat±ons. He sees no problem as long as Mr. Goff has no traffic coming to his home. Motion by Gerald Shay, seconded by Russ Bray, to recommend to the City Council approval of Mr. Goff's home occupation. Motion carried 6--~. Home Occupation- Lisa Greenwood, 1~22 W. Ramshorn. Lisa Green wood of 1422 W. Ramshorn has applied for a home occupation to run a business out of her home that offers help in matching student's with available scholarships and grants. She does live outside the City limits but will be going to the schools and various clients homes within the City limits. She has a data base with scholarships information on it. For a fee she matches students with scholarships or grants. If a student does not match with at least 7 scholarships or grants, she refunds their money. Cal recommends approval as long as she has no customers and traffic coming to her home. Motion by Lonnie Kellogg, seconded by Gerald Shay, to reco~end apDroval to the City Council ~or this home occupation. Motion carried 7--0. A correction is made on the minutes of the January meeting to reflect that Russ Bray was absent from the meeting. Motion by Gerald Shay, seconded by Donna Kilpatrick to approve the minutes with the abov~ correction. Motion carried 7--0. The Planning Board will consider the request at their regu- larly scheduled meeting. Attendance at this meeting is required by the applicant or his/her representative. 3. The Planning Board will make a recommendation to the City Council that the specific request for a home occupation designation be granted or denied. 4. The City Council will-consider the Planning Board's recom- mendation.concerning the specific home occupation designation and approve or deny it at their next regularly scheduled meeting. Attendance by the applicant or his/her represent- ative is required at this meeting.
