RI='L-Y£LLOWS'ro N £ CITY-COUNTY PLANNING BOARD May 21, 1992 began The City-County Planning Board meet£ng of May 21, at 7:00 p.m. with the following members present: John Smith, Chairman Larry Thomas, City Rep. Gerald Shay, Member at ~arge .. Clarence Foos, County Rep. Lonnie Kellogg, City Rep. Russell Bray, County Rep. Don Gudgell, County Rep. Jim Ziegler, County Rep. Members absent: Donna Kilpatrick Billilou Lance Joe Bradley Others present: Cal Cumin 1992 Minutes of the April 9, 1)92 m~eting were approved with the addition of the DeCarlo Subdivision being approved. A letter was received by the County Surveyor's office concerning the consideration of vacation of Hillbrook Avenue in North Hills Estates Subdivision. No action whs taken at this time. An incomplete Home Occupation request was not considered at this meeting fro~ Robert George. Mr. George was contacted twa'times by the City Treasurer and Engineer's office to complete his application, and never did bring the information into City Hall. Consideration of a Change in Laurel's Recreational Vehicle Ordinance: This was prompted'by an April 14, 1992 letter that ~al wrote to Mr. Voehler, in which he was advised that Laurel's Ordinance does not allow the use of mobile homes or travel trailers to be utilized for residents, even temporarily, outs/de of the established mobile home zones. East Main is not zoDed for travel trailers, and Mr. Voehler is not allowed to use his travel trailer for such purposes. The Voehler's park their travel trailer at 214 E. Main Street on the week-ends, because they have materials for sale and like to keep an eye on things. This issue was brought up at the Council meeting and given ~o the Planning Board to discuss what should be done about this issue. This issue was triggered by complaints to the City. cai recommends that we delay the decision on this issue for a month, as he feels we need more information and discussion. Motion by seconded by this issue until the next meeting. Motion carried. , to table Cal states that there is a couple in the audience that would like to annex property into the City of Laurel~ He is not certain of the steps that these people need to take, but he wanted the Board to be aware that it is in the works. He will get with the City Attorney on-this issue. · he property is located at 14th'St. West and 5th Avenue, on the northwest corner, just below the High Line ditch.
