Motion carried. Cal showed an example of the digitized map that the County has been working on for us. The Planning Board had approved the spending of $2,000 to do the digitization. The map Cal showed was a computer colorized map of the City of Laurel with the zones in different colors. It will be a big asset for the both the engineering and planning departments. He is hoping the County will make 10 copies for us. The map be made at about any size we would like. pinpoint a certain piece of property on the map with this digitizing system. The ability to is also possible Cal requested that the board approve the spending of $100 for making copies of the subdivision and zoning ordinances that would then be available for the public to purchase. Over the past few years there have been inquiries on obtaining these ordinances. Having these copies available would take the hassle out of having to make them as they are needed, as they are both quite lengthy. The money that is taken in from the public purchasing these ordinances will be put back into our budget each year. Motion by Billielou Lance, seconded by Chuck Dickerson, to approve $100 for making copies of both the subdivision and ordinances. Motion carried. The meeting was adjourned at 7:26.
