R25-18 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO ADOPT AN OFFICIAL SCHEDULE OF FEES AND CHARGES FOR THE CITY OF LAUREL AND REPEALING ALL PREVIOUS RESOLUTIONS THAT SET FEES OR CHARGES THAT CONFLICT WITH THE SCHEDULE ATTACHED HERETO UPON ITS EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Laurel Municipal Code requires the City Council to review, modify, and/or update its fees and charges on an annual basis through further Resolution of the City Council; WHEREAS, City Staff prepared the attached Schedule of Fees and Charges, incorporated herein, for the City Council's consideration and adoption after public hearing until further Resolution of the City Council; WHEREAS, on the 25th day of February 2025, the City Council adopted Resolution No. R25-17, a Resolution of Intent to adopt the updated Schedule of Fees and Charges and set a public hearing for the 1 It" day of March 2025; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on the 1It" day of March 2025, in order to provide opportunity for public input prior to adoption of the updated Schedule of Fees and Charges. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that the attached Schedule of Fees and Charges is reasonable and in the best interests of the City of Laurel; and NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council hereby approves the Schedule of Fees and Charges attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein.
