The committee will review the bids at a meeting scheduled for April
25th at 4:30 p.m. A recommendation will be made to the City
Council on May 2, 1995.
Discussion regarding the 1995-96 Budgets. The Committee will begin
preparing the preliminary budget on May 3rd at 4:30 p.m. in the old
council chambers. It was suggested that the committee meet on
Mondays and Wednesdays. A schedule will be prepared and all
departments will be notified when they are to meet with the
committee.
Discussion regarding the purchase of a van for $3,700 for the Fire
Department. Darrell McGillen said that the one they have now is
too small for transporting firemen to the fire scene. It would
cost another $5,000 to $7,500 to renovate the vehicle so that it
could be used by the fire department. Darrell thought that they
could sell the current 1977 Ford van for about $2,000. (purchased
September 1982 for $5,000)
Motion by Bob Graham, seconded by Gay Easton, to purchase the
1978 Ford 2 1/2 ton truck and to convert it to a support unit for
the Fire Department.
Darrell will present a purchase requisition at a later date giving
the total estimated cost. This would be purchased out of the Fire
Dept. Capital Projects Fund.
The meeting adjourned at 4:56 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Don ~{ackmann
City Clerk
