Mayor of Laurel & City Council
Due to the recent passing of Board Member Marti Spalinger, it has not only left an impact on
our personal lives, it has also left an opening on the Laurel Urban Renewal Agency board.
I have previously served on the LURA Board as a voting member. I was in that position at its
inception, and left to persuse other business matters. As a resident and property owner in the
TIFD district I have maintained a strong desire to see LURA succeed in its endeavors to promote
Laurel as a thriving community for all residents.
I ask that I be approved for the board as LURA is currently in the beginnings of accomplishing
some great things that have been approved by the council.. I feel that my experience as a
business owner and previous participation leaves me well suited for future projects within
LURA.
