Discussion regarding the transfer of remaining cash in the Computer
Capital Projects Fund to another project. No decision was made at
this time.
A lengthy discussion was held regarding the purchase of a new fire
truck to replace the one damaged during a recent fire. The 1964
International is in Casper and will be returned in the near future.
The Laurel Volunteer Fire Department will try to take it apart and
assess the damage and see if they can repair it themselves. A
recommendation will be made at a later date.
Discussion regarding purchasing the Arden property in the amount of
$26,000 from this year's budget. There are sufficient
appropriations in various areas to transfer to the building account
number in the General Fund.
In referring to the letter of June t8th from Mr. Arden, there was
some concern about the terms of the agreement after the first 12
months. It appears that something can be worked out in this area.
Motion by Ron Marshall, seconded by Bud Johnson to pursue the
purchase of the Arden property from this year's budget. Motion
carried.
Discussion regarding a combined storage building for the Fire
Department and other city equipment. Darrell and Jim will get
together to come up with a plan. This is being budgete~ for in
1996-97.
Discussion regarding a contract with Richard Larsen for future
service.
Motion by Bud Johnson, seconded by Gay Easton, to recommend a
month to month contract with Richard Larsen in the amount of $300
a month for consulting services and training. Motion carried.
The committee reviewed the overtime listing for PPE 6-10-96. A
lengthy discussion was held regarding overtime in the Police
Department and Dispatchers.
