OLD COUNCIL CHAMBERS MEMBERS PRESENT: OTHERS PRESENT: Chairman- Donna Kilpatrick Ron Marshall Don Hackmann Chuck Rodgers Gay Easton Bud Johnson Dirk Kroll (late) Andy Loebe Jim Flisrand Darrell McGillen Discussion regarding the transfer of remaining cash in the Computer Capital Projects Fund to another project. No decision was made at this time. A lengthy discussion was held regarding the purchase of a new fire truck to replace the one damaged during a recent fire. The 1964 International is in Casper and will be returned in the near future. The Laurel Volunteer Fire Department will try to take it apart and assess the damage and see if they can repair it themselves. A recommendation will be made at a later date. Discussion regarding purchasing the Arden property in the amount of $26,000 from this year's budget. There are sufficient appropriations in various areas to transfer to the building account number in the General Fund. In referring to the letter of June t8th from Mr. Arden, there was some concern about the terms of the agreement after the first 12 months. It appears that something can be worked out in this area. Motion by Ron Marshall, seconded by Bud Johnson to pursue the purchase of the Arden property from this year's budget. Motion carried. Discussion regarding a combined storage building for the Fire Department and other city equipment. Darrell and Jim will get together to come up with a plan. This is being budgete~ for in 1996-97. Discussion regarding a contract with Richard Larsen for future service. Motion by Bud Johnson, seconded by Gay Easton, to recommend a month to month contract with Richard Larsen in the amount of $300 a month for consulting services and training. Motion carried. The committee reviewed the overtime listing for PPE 6-10-96. A lengthy discussion was held regarding overtime in the Police Department and Dispatchers.
