HomeMy WebLinkAboutSpecial City Council Minutes 04.11.1996Minutes of the City Council of Laurel April 11, 1996 A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Laurel, Montana, was held in the old Council Chambers and called to order by Mayor Chuck Rodgers at 7:30 p.m. on April 11, 1996 for the specific purpose to approve a grant application for funding a community model against violence. COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT: Gay Easton Bud Johnson Donna Kilpatrick Ron Marshall Dirk Kroll Miles Walton COUNCIL MEMBERS ABSENT: Chuck Dickerson John Minch Donna reported that time would not permit the Laurel Community Violence Task Force to get the grant application prepared and in the mail by tomorrow. This group will apply for a non-profit 501(C)3 designation and make a grant application a year from now. If a non-profit organization gets the grant, there are no matching funds required. However, if the grant is received by a local government, there is a 25% matching funds requirement. The grant application is due April 12, 1996 for fiscal year 1996-97.
