Board Meeting Minutes
The Meeting was held on October 18th at Guadalajara. In attendance were: Executive Board Members:
President - John Mataisz, VP- Steve Yates, and Chamber assistant Marcia Hafner. Directors: Jim Taylor,
Bryan Wood, Jodi Chapman, Dr. Ed Madrid, Janelle Crowley, Michelle DeBoer, Angela Hughes, Heidi Jensen,
and Alternate Joe Statser. Members: Clyde Barton.
John called the meeting to order.
The minutes were approved: moved to approve - Steve, 2n - Michelle.
The finandal report was approved and bills were presented for payment: moved to approve - Heidi, 2n -
Steve. Heidi suggested we negotiate a new price with NEW for power, because of the new LED lights.
NEW BUSINESS
• New Members - Invitations have been sent to both auto parts stores.
• Annual Meeting - Mark your calendars for January 17 at the Laurel Golf Course.
o It was moved and passed to not order the pocket calendars we have given away in
past years. Steve moved, Joe - 2n We can look into other items if they keep
within budget.
OLD BUSINESS
• Spotlight on Business - Always looking for new.
• Farmers Market - An agreement has been made with LRL. The rent for Town Square will
be $10 a week, with an extra $5 a week if we use electricity. It was agreed that if a
vendor uses electricity, they need to pay the extra $5.
• Christmas Decorations - The new decorations are here. We have replaced bulbs, etc.
on the old decorations.
• Outdoor sign - The electricity is disconnected and we need to set a date to remove it.
John will contact Matt, to line up the cities help. It was agreed to advertise the glass cases
in the newsletter, to see if anyone is interested.
OPEN FORUM
• LURA - Marcia agreed to attend these meetings for the Chamber.

o Nov. 29th- Tom & Jackie Maurer at /with Emma's Kitchen.
o Dec. 13 - Chamber Holiday Open House
