Update on chip seal and crack seal projects:
Kurt stated that Great West Engineering gave an estimated bid of $250,000 for the streets that
were going to be chip sealed and crack sealed this fall. Hardrives came in with the lowest bid of
$175,000. Sweeping up the chips on the streets that were chip sealed will be done sometime next
week. Kurt stated that there was about $336,000 in the budget for repairing the streets so about
$100,000 is left in the budget for overlay projects in the spring. Kurt stated that he has had
several complaints about the dust from homeowners on the gravel streets. He said mag- chloride
will be applied to those streets to reduce the dust. The city will continue to fix potholes as time
allows.
Water intake emergency river work:
Kurt explained that the river is in critical condition. Donnes Inc. was called in to do emergency
work to divert the river over to the water intake. Kurt took the committee over to Riverside Park
to see the work that had been done.
FEMA - update:
There was discussion at river.

Next meeting will be held on October 15 2012.
