Election of Officers: Chair - Shirley McDermott (One more Year)
Vice -Chair -Judy Goldsby (One year then Dean will assume post)
Recorder -Bill Kampfer (One more year)
Monica says 2 applications came in for Pizza Pitts (Austin Pharmacy bldg.) for tech assist
and facade improvement for Pitts Restaurant next to Ace
Ken will bring the sign ordinance next meeting to let us know what it says. We will look
at city resolution and intent for the TIF, zoning for TIF requested from Markegard (third
time), we will look at rules and statutory powers for LURA, $156,000 for SE 4 storm
water and sewer project. We need to look at an Industrial TIF in the county to help out
school and can spend money on "blight" buildings, help with the school gym floor
project to the tune of $10,000 to $15,000 with matching funds.
Ken brought up a cash flow proposal to pay down SE4th loan to help the city debt service
ratio. A Motion was made to accept the Mayors proposal to pay down the loan. Passed
There was discussion about the lighting project at Town Square Park but was tabled until
next meeting
Next meeting will be August 6, 2012
