LAUREL URBAN RENEWAL AGENCY

Minutes approved as submitted
Linda and Dean reported on Laurel Alive, the next Rock the Block is June 8 followed by
June 22. Mulch was delivered to the Caboose and work should be complete this month
Amos has the go ahead on the awning which must be completed by June 30
New business, Orchid Cleaners has submitted a facade improvement application for work
already completed. His bill is $3,650 with half due him. He has been encouraged to put a
new sign up which this money may help that cause.
A motion to approve payment was presented and passed.
Ace Electric has been asked to bid and donate work on moving the lights to Town Square.
Best Western and Ace Hardware have submitted bills for work completed. Austin
Pharmacy has submitted paid bills. The Theater and Riley Cook are doing work on the
ice cream window
We need to take a look at Billings banks for ways to help business' expand in Laurel.
The next meeting we will hold election of officers. Letters are going to city council for
Dirk's resignation as a member and Linda's request to replace Dirk.
We need to look at the first three items on the strategic planning meeting and appoint
people to work on these priorities.
The next meeting will be June 18, 2012
