Park Board Minutes
Thursday, June 7, 2012
The Park Board meeting was brought to order at 5:36pm. In attendance were: Chairman,
Mark Mace, and Park Board members Gretchen Paulson, Amy Pollock, Bruce McGee,
and Chuck Dickerson.
1. No public comments regarding parks at this time.
2. Donation of park land on W. 12th St. from the Richmond Family Trust.
Mark will look into having the Laurel Outlook print a Thank you to the Richmond
Family for donating that land to the city to be used as park land.
It was also discussed there should be progress with the land soon. This
improvement will show the family and citizens that the city appreciates the land donation.
Chuck suggested the fire department should burn the weeds and overgrowth as they have
done in previous years to make a good start. The fire department could use the control
burn for training purposes.
The Park Board recommends to the Mayor and City Council to request the Laurel Fire
Department to do a control burn of the weeds in the recently donated park land on W.
12th St.

Maintenance District plan.
Park Board requests consistent updates on the Elena Subdivision Park
development from Monica Plecker. This update should be provided before the Park
Boards monthly meeting, the first Thursday of each month.
