Dan Koch, City Rep. Dick Fritzler, County Rep. John VanAken, County Rep. Lee Richardson, County Rep. Greg Nelson, Member -at -Large Judy Goldsby, County Rep. OTHERS PRESENT: Monica Plecker, City Planner Cheryl) Lund, City Secretary Call to order: The meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm by Chairman Siegrist. Roll Call: Members present were Koch, Fritzler, Goldsby, Richardson, Nelson, VanAken, Klein and Siegrist. Public Comment on non - agenda topics: No public was present at the meeting. Approval of minutes from May 3, 2012 meeting: A motion was made by Dan Koch, seconded by Judy Goldsby to approve the minutes of the May 3, 2012 meeting. The motion carried by a vote of 7 -0. New Business: Board member appointments: After discussion: A motion was made by John VanAken and seconded by Dan Koch to recommend to the City Council the appointment of Greg Nelson as member -at- large. The motion carried by a vote of 7 -0. A motion was made by John VanAken and seconded by Dan Koch to recommend to the City Council approval of City Members Dan Koch and David Schreder to a 2 -year appointment to 6/30/14. The motion carried by a vote of 7 -0. A motion was made by Hazel Klein and seconded by Judy Goldsby to recommend to the City Council approval of City Member Dennis Eaton for a 1 -year appointment to 6/30/13. The motion was carried by a vote of 7 -0. A motion was made by Dan Koch, seconded by Greg Nelson to recommend approval to Yellowstone County Commissioners for appointment of Judy Goldsby, John VanAken and Lee Richardson as County Representatives to the Laurel City- County Planning Board. The motion carried by a vote of 7 -0. Old Business: Robertus variance Monica updated the board about Sam Robertus's variance request. Sam attended the City Council public hearing and requested that the condition that the Planning Board recommended to the Council regarding facing the home north onto E. 11 Street be taken off prior to the final recommendation being made by the City Council. After a short discussion it was unclear why Mr. Robertus was making this request as it was never brought up in any previous discussions with Mr. Robertus. Monica will attend the next City Council Workshop and inform them of the Planning Boards discussion and recommendation that was included in the May 3, 2012 minutes. Miscellaneous: Growth Management Plan (GMP) Update Monica is currently seeking mapping services for the GMP and until those services are secured the update process has come to a halt. Potential Next Meeting: July 5, 2012 Because there are no current applicants that need to be reviewed by the Board there will be no July 5, 2012 meeting. Figgins' Subdivision: Monica stated that Figgins Subdivision was stopped due to Park land issues. Once that is taken care of the application will be put back onto the County Commissioners agenda.
