Public Input: Citizens may address the committee regarding any item gf'business that is not on the agenda. The duration .for an individual speaking under Public Input is limited to three minutes. While all comments are welcome, the committee will not take action on any item not on the agenda. Meeting called to order by Committee Vice Chair, Jodi Mackay at 6 pm on Monday, May 20, 2024. Members present: Jodi Mackay — Vice -Chair, Iry Wilke, Jessica Banks, Council Member Michelle Mize participated as a committee member to make a quorum until Emilie and Dennis arrived. At 6:27 pm, members, Emilie Eaton and Dennis Eaton, arrived. Others present: Matt Wheeler — Public Works Director General Items 1. Approval of the Minutes from April 15, 2024. Iry Wilke made a motion to approve the minutes. Motion was seconded by Jessica Banks. Motion passed 4 - 0 2. Emergency Call Out Report Six calls since last meeting - Primarily water issues. Common this time of year with sprinklers being turned on. 3. KLJ Report Public Works Standards approved 0' Street, between 2" d & I" Avenue will need to be reconstructed after Town Pump remodel. Water Tank — KLJ grant writer focusing on planning grants so we will have a planning complete when construction grants come available. Developer wants to put a subdivision north of Saddleback Subdivision with 600 homes. He wants to be annexed and receive city services. Has discussed assisting with cost of new water tower. This many homes would require a new filter be installed at the water plant. 5`" — 7"' Sewer Line Replacement slated to begin early June and completed early to mid July. Funded through HB 355. Splash Park up and running and being used. Brief hiccup when NWE drilled through a water main. Has been conversation about increasing the water line size from 2 in to 4 in for more water. Will monitor to see if there's a need. Committee discussed how to close the Splash Park for lightening. Matt will work on signage communicating people should vacate in event of lightening. Committee will inquire with Chief Langve if officers on patrol watch for people not vacating in inclement weather. Mogan and Hull annexations complete Love's Annexation in the works. State will be resurfacing Main St from I" Ave to Golf Course road. State and Love's will need to communicate to ensure new road isn't ripped up to install utilities or utilities could be installed to the side of the road. Currently no progress on city owned bulk water station. Would cost money up front but would become a stream of income after paid for. New Business Iry made a motion to bring a city own bulk water station to the council for discussion. Emily seconded. Motion passed 5 - 0 Committee discussed evaluating sidewalk situation once new school is complete. Discussed paving a bike path along East Maryland, rather than putting in sidewalk curb and gutter. Announcements 4. Next meeting will be Monday, June 17, 2024 5. Ribbon cutting for the Splash Park on Thursday, 5/30, at 5 pm. The City makes reasonable accommodations for any known disability that may interfere with a person's ability to participate in this meeting.
