AMENDING SECTION 13.01.030, PROCEDURE FOR DETERMINING
EQUITABLE SERVICE CHARGES TO BE LEVIED ON ALL USERS OF
THE CITY'S WASTEWATER SYSTEM, OF THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL
CODE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Laurel that
Section 13.01.030 is hereby amended as follows:
Section 13.01.030 Procedure for Determining Equitable Service
Charges to be Levied on All Users of the City's Wastewater System.
A. no change
B. The City of Laurel, or its City Engineer, shall determine each
user's average daily volume of wastewater, which has been discharged
to the wastewater system, which shall then bo divided by the average
daily volume of all wastewater discharged to the wastewater system,
to determine each user's Volume Contribution Percentage.
Users not fulIy connected to City water services shall be
charged for their sewer use based either on past historicai averages
or a comparable customer class.
The amount used as the total average daily volume of wastewater
shall exclude infiltration and inflow. The City of Laurel, or its
City Engineer, shall determine each user's average daily poundage of
5-day 20 degree Centrigrade Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), as defined
in S 13.08.010A, LMC, which has been discharged to the wastewater
system which shall then be divided by the average daily poundage of all
5-day BOD discharged to the wastewater system to determine each user's
BOD Contribution Percentage.
No change in the remainder of the entire section.
Introduced at a regular meeting of the Laurel City Council on
December 18 , 1984 , by Alderman
PASSED by the Laurel City Council and
this 2nd day of January , 1985
This ordinance shall become effective
final passage by the Laurel City Council.
