ADDING SECTION 13.04.140, FEE FOR NEW ACCOUNT
RE-ESTABLISHMENT OF ACCOUNT/TURN ONS, TO THE
LAUREL MUNICIPAL CODE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Laurel that
Section 13.04.140 is hereby added to the Laurel Municipal Code
as follows:
Section 13.04.140 Fee for New Account/Re-establishment of
Account/Turn Ons.
1. Any customer may request water service be shut off at the
user's service location during periods in which the location
is vacant or unoccupied.
2. The City shall charge a fee of Fifteen and NO/100 Dollars
($15.00) for re-establishment of service or turn ons; and,
the same fee shall be charged to new oustomers upon any
change of oceupancy or establishment of new service at any
location.
3. Water turn on shall be by appointment and customer or occupant
must be present. If the customer or occupant is not at home
whenever any City employee attempts to turn water servioe
on, an extra fee of Ten and NO/100 Dollars ($10.00) may be
charged for each such trip.
4. In emergency situations the above fees may be waived.
Introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council on
February 19, 1985, by Alderman Kellogg.
