AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 797 TO CORRECT THE SECTION

BE IT ORDAINED by

Section 13.04.145
the Council of the City of Laurel that
is hereby amended to read as follows:
Fee for New Account/Re-establishment
of Account/Turn Ons.
1. Any customer may request water service be shut off at the
user's service location during periods in which the location
is vacant or unoccupied.
2. The City shall eharge a fee of Fifteen and NO/100 Dollars
($15.00) for re-establishment of service or turn ons; and,
the same fee shall be charged to new customers upon any
change of occupancy or establishment of new service at any
location.
Water turn on shall be by appointment and customer or occu-
pant must be present. If the customer or occupant is not
at home whenever any City employee attempts to turn water
service on, an extra fee of Ten and NO/lO0 Dollars ($10.00)
may be charged for each such trip.
4. In emergency situations the above fees may be waived.
B. This ordinance is passed to correct a clerical error in the
Laurel Municipal Code section used in original Ordinance
No. 797. Existing Section 13.04.140, Pigtail Water Taps
Prohibited, is not intended to be repealed.
Introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council on
April 16, 1985, by Alderman
PASSED and APPROVED by the Laurel City Council on May 7,
1985.
This ordinance shall become effective 30 days from passage.
