Board Meeting Minutes
The Meeting was held on April 12th at Guadalajara. In attendance were: Executive Board Members:
President - John Mataisz, Secretary Joanne Flynn and her assistant Marcia Hafner. Directors: Tim Bronk, Jodi
Chapman, Libby Erb, Angela Hughes, and Alternate Joe Statser. Members: Laura Mussetter, Ray Mitchell,
Zada Stamper, Ed Madrid, and Clyde Barton.
John called the meeting to order.
The finandal report was approved and bills were presented for payment: moved to approve - Joe, 2n -
Libby.
NEW BUSINESS
• July 4th -
o Run - The bibs have been ordered in purple. The imATHLETE web site can now
take registrations and there is a Zink on our web page. Letters have been sent out
to past and future sponsors.
o Parade To accommodate our vendors, there will be a slight change to the route.
The parade will now turn left off 1s Ave. on 8 St, not 7 St.
There will also be no underage drivers on 4- wheelers.
The board was asked for ideas for a parade theme and suggestions for Grand
Marshalls.
The permission letter has been sent to the city and Western States has been
contacted for the event insurance.
• Ribbon Cutting - There will be a ribbon cutting at Austin's Pharmacy on Saturday, April
14 at 11:30. This will be in conjunction with their grand opening, BBQ, etc.
OLD BUSINESS
• Spotlight on Business - Always looking for new.
• Sign repair - Laura presented what her company could do to repair the sign. She
discussed a new epoxy product that could be used to replace the rotted wood as it stands.
She said Magnum will do it for material costs. It was moved to get a plan and an estimate
from Magnum. Moved by Angela, 2n Libby.
• Business after Hours -
o April 26 - The Crossings & Northland Corrosion at the Crossings
o May - Still looking
o June - Woods Pow'r Grip will team up with the school at Woods.
OPEN FORUM
• The next Board meeting will be at Emma's. We will be sending out menus so members can
pre- order.
• Joanne will be on vacation next week.
• We received a thank you from Rimrock Computer for purchasing Joanne's new computer.
We also received a thank you and 2 t- shirts from the school for the board's recent
donation to the gym floor project.
• Joe asked if other people had been having a problem with vandalism to cars in Laurel.
• Tim informed the board about the public forums coming up to discuss the upcoming mill
levies.
• Several other upcoming events were presented.
