RE: Yellowstone Historic Preservation Board (YHPB)
Dear Mayor Olson,
I am contacting you in regards to an open board position on the Yellowstone Historic
Preservation Board, specifically for a member of Laurel, to represent your community. It
is my understanding that this position is required to be appointed by your office.
I respectfully request consideration and acceptance of Mr. Darrell Aaby to be appointed
to this board position. Mr. Aaby's extensive knowledge of the communities in
Yellowstone County, and his experience as a building inspector for the State of Montana,
would bring a good diversity and dynamic resource to our board.
Historic preservation in our communities is vital to protect those places and spaces which
Montanan's hold near and dear to their hearts. The community of Laurel truly deserves
to be represented on a personal scale again on this board; I truly feel Mr. Aaby would be a
wonderful choice for that role.
Please consider my letter as a formal request to appoint Mr. Darrell Aaby to the
Yellowstone Historic Preservation Board, and help us fill that board chair for the City of
Laurel.
Respectfully,
., Kathleen L. Armstrong, Al
