Members Present: Doug Poehls Dick Fritzler Tom Nelson Emelie Eaton Clete Knaub Others Present: Rick Musson Update of Police Shooting Range Chairman Doug Poehls stated he talked to the safety official at Riverside Sand and Gravel and also to Fisher Sand and Gravel regarding an abandoned pit. Discussion continued that the Yellowstone Rifle Club would be glad to talk to the Laurel Police about using their facilities. Rick said the Yellowstone Rifle Club is located a distance from Laurel that is inconvenient for the department and officers. Rick stated the current shooting range is located on state land. There have been complaints of ricocheting of bullets. He suggested that they could continue using the same land if they move their targets up to the berm. He said there is a large chunk of concrete that needs to be removed. He states it would take a backhoe to move the concrete. It would be possible to get that done by only spending a small amount of funds. Five -Year Plans for Fire, Ambulance and Police Rick was the only one present from the Fire, Ambulance, and Police. He said he hasn't started the project yet and thinks a plan for the future may be mostly made up of financial plans. Facility plans are not foreseeable in the future. He was hoping for a little more room with the FAP addition. He doesn't figure he will ever be looking at a larger location. The fire department has pursued it and is still working towards a new building. Doug stated he wants to meet with Heidi for more clarification on the five -year -plan. Respectfully Submitted, P -6 - 7 , ---- 7 4-1 -- za-e Neva Hall, Secretary
