Dear Mr. Foster:
Sometime during the month of April, your son,
Walter Foster committed the crime of breaking and
entering the Laurel Public Library. He admitted
that he entered the library and in so doing, did
considerable damage to the doors.
At the time that he was confronted with the
physical evidence and he made his admission of
gut, it was agreed that he would pay for the dam-
ages done the building. The following is an itemized
statement of those damages:
Lumber and screen - - - -T S 4.00
Paint 0 1.00
Labor, 5 hours $ 10.00
Total 8 15.00
Please consider this letter as our formal state-
ment of the damages which we are expecting to be paid
in connection with the breaking and entering done by
your child in the public library. Please make your
check payable to the Laurel Public Library, Laurel,
Montana.
Your kind and prompt attention to this matter
will be greatly appreciated by the undersigned.
