I understa'-,nd tlhere are topenings on the Pi,blic Works comrnittee. I would be
ii.-I.It-et-,rested in sitting onn th-its comm-Itt-Ae-e. I hwie over 135 years of expedience -In
the clea!ni wat-er industxr:yr doing every-thIng from sellbrig I.o installing to
repairing equipment thatprovides clean water, 1ARifle I know this -is not
everything Ithat the Public Works committee handles, through the years I
have dealt with -njLanagement at CHS, the railroad, talked to school board
represeritatives, talked with marny small city councils both -".n Montana a.-nd
North Dakota, talked with state legislators,governors wnd members
Congress. I -zumderstand that getting all the infrastructure, and money for ir,
isn't glamorous, but it is essential. While I don't expect to be asked to do any
of these things for this cominittee, my experience gives me a perspective on
the difficulties of seeing a project through Peorn beginning to end.

I was concerned that my current employment would be considered a conflict
of interest but after speaking -inq1[h my boss, John, I was of that my position
is to serre Laurel iArhen asked, and he did not see any conflict of interest. I
would appreciate your appointment ol'me to the Laurel Public Works.
