AMENDING SECTION 2.17.010 OF THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL
CODE, QUALIFICATIONS OF ALDERMAN.
IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Laurel, Montana, that Section 2.17.010 of the Laurel Municipal
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 2.17.010. Qualifications of Alderman.
No person is eligible for the office of Alderman unless
he is a resident for at least 60 days preceeding the election
to office of the ward electing him or of an area which
has been annexed by the city and placed in the ward.
This Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days
after final passage by the City Council and approval by the
Mayor.
Introduced on first reading at a regular meeting of the City
Council on June 5 , 1990, by Alderman K±lpatrick ,
and passed.
PASSED and ADOPTED by the Laurel City Council on second
reading this 19th day of 3une , 1990, upon motion
by Alderman Orr .
