BOARD OF TRUSTEES JUNE 10, 2003
Attending- Peg Freund (presiding), Katherine Kucera, Clara Killebrew, Bonnie
Latham, Gail Brice, and Peggy Arnold
Minutes -read and approved
Correspondence- The Montana State Library sent a notice to sign concerning
certification of our library. The Library Board Chair and the Library Director
signed the certificate.
Circulation- Traffic for May of 2003 was 1,484 up 2% from May of 2002.
Circulation was 2,654 for May of 2003 down 4% from May of 2002.
Old Business- The preliminary budget was presented to the City Council but has
not yet been approved. The staff is still working on the patron conduct rules.
Prizes will be awarded for the `Name that Song' quilt display. The department
heads are finished with the Capital Improvements Plan.
New Business- Peggy and Nancy may attend the Gates Foundation training in
Helena or Billings. Security gates for the community room are ordered. The
Laurel Road Runners 4H planted flowers and may build bookshelves for us.
The library will close at 3 p.m. on July 3 Staff will have the option of taking
vacation or working their regular hours.
