BOARD OF TRUSTEES January 20, 2004

Peggy Freund (presiding), Katherine Kucera, Clara Killebrew, Bonnie Latham,
Gail Brice, and Peggy Arnold
Minutes
The minutes of the December meeting were read and approved.
Correspondence
We received the budget worksheets from the Budget and Finance Committee.
Peggy received her 'Certificate of Award' for achieving level three of the Montana
Certification Program from the Montana State Library.
Circulation
Traffic for December 2003 was 1,497 up 16% from December 2002. Circulation
was 2,990 for December 2003 up 28% from December 2002.
Old Business
The Community Room Rules were corrected and adopted.
New Business
Clara reported that Erin Middleton would like to help start a self sustaining
reading group. The budget worksheets were distributed and we will work on the
budget at our next meeting. There will be a workshop at the library on Saturday
January 24 with the council, department heads and with Judy Mathre and Ken
Weaver from the Local Government Center in Bozeman. The nex1policy to be
revised is the Collection Management Policy.

No one addressed the board.
Next meeting
The next meeting is February 10, 2004 at 6:30 p.m.
