BOARD OF TRUSTEES February 10, 2004

Peggy Freund (presiding), Bonnie Latham, Katherine Kucera, Clara Killebrew,
and Peggy Arnold
Minutes
The minutes of the January meeting were corrected and approved.
Correspondence
There may be some grant money available from the `Staying Connected' project
from the Gates Foundation. The Montana State Library is working on a pilot
project for cooperative reference which is online twenty four hour reference help
for Montana library patrons. Peggy Arnold will attend a Gates Foundation
training in Forsyth on March 15 The Laurel Federated Woman's Club will host
an Easter Egg Hunt and Play on April 7 at 1:00 p.m. The book club will meet at
6:30 p.m. on Tuesday February 17.
Circulation
Traffic for January 2004 was 1,463 down 5% from January 2003. Circulation of
materials for January 2004 was 3,543 up 14% from January 2003.
Old Business
The mayor requested that each department head prioritize their funding requests
that are in the Capital Improvements Plan.
New Business
The budget request sheets were distributed and filled out.
