BOARD OF TRUSTEES Jan 11, 2005
Attending
Peggy Freund (presiding), Katherine Kucera, Bonnie Latham, Gail Brice, and
Peggy Arnold attended the meeting.
Minutes
The minutes of the December 14 meeting were read and approved.
Correspondence
We received approval from the Montana State Library for our Collection
Management policy. Mike Taylor left some suggestions for our lighting for the
circulation desk area.
Circulation
Traffic for December 2004 was 1,416 down 4% from December 2003. Circulation
for December 2004 was 2,764 down 8% from December 2003.
Old Business
The Library was visited by the Directors of the Montana Shared Catalog. We
have a great crew that comes in Friday mornings to help re- barcode. The Annual
report will be presented to the council at a workshop in the near future. The city
insurance company is investigating the claim by an individual who fell when
returning books to the book drop on a Friday in October. We discussed the
Internet use policy.
New Business
The Board will meet at 2:30 a.m. on January 18 to work on the job evaluation for
the Library Director.
