AMENDING SECTION 5.48.360 OF THE LAUREL
MUNICIPAL CODE, TO ALLOW 24-HOUR GAMBLING
SUBJECT TO CERTAIN RESTRICTIONS.

IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Laurel, Montana, that Section 5.48.360 of the Laurel Municipal
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTION 5.48.360. Hours of Gambling Restrictions.
A. Gambling establishments licensed~ursuant to law may
remain open, and all legal games ofd Nance, including
electronic li poker, keno and birl~o, may be conducted or
p`f ~ operated 24 hou per day, seven ays per week, provided
that such establis ments comply ith all restrictions set
forth herein below.
B. It shall be unlaw 1 for an licensed gambling

the hours of two o'clock .m. and eight o'clock a.m. on any
day, as authorized in this e tion, to:

5.28.OI0 of this code, o an mechanical or electronic
amusement device or juk ox as defined in Section
5.24.010 of this code, uring o between said hours;

interior of the premis s capable o being heard by any
person from outside th licensee's uilding or premises
during or between said hours; or,
3. allow or permit an{y beer or other alcoholic beverage
of any type to be available or accessi le to any person
other than the licensee or his employee during or
between said hours. It shall be a viola 'on of this
section for any beer or other alcoholic beverage to be
kept, stored or accessible at any time during or between
said hours, in any location other than inside or behind
a closed and locked partition, door, or cabinet, or
inside or behind such other locking storage area or
mechanisms as the Chief of Police may approve in
advance.

This Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days
after final passage by the City Council and approval by the
Mayor.

meeting of the City Council on 1990 by
Alderman
PASSED and ADOPTED by the Laurel City Council on second
