AMENDING SECTION 10.68.025 OF THE LAUREL
MUNICIPAL CODE, TO ESTABLISH PARKING SPACES
FOR THE EXCLUSIVE USE OF HANDICAPPED PERSONS
IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
City of Laurel, Montana, that Section 10.68.025 is hereby
amended to read as follows:
Section 10.68.025. Parking Spaces for Handicapped Persons.
Handicapped parking spaces shall be established by the
Chief of Police and appropriately posted in the places
listed below. The said spaces shall be limited to
exclusive use by persons whose vehicles bear and display
the handicapped insignia approved by the Montana
Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services. The
Chief of Police shall have the authority and discretion
to determine and post the exact location of each particular
parking space listed below, within the stated areas.
1.One space on the East side of City Hall in the
alley between First Avenue and SecondAvenue.
2. One space at the Northeast corner of the City parking
lot located at the intersection of First Street West
and Second Avenue.
3. At the City Safety Complex, on the Northeast corner
of the intersection of First Street West and Third
Avenue.
4. On the South Side of the Laurel Public Library
parking lot at 720 Third Avenue.
This Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days after
final passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
Introduced on first reading at the regular meeting of the
City Council on December 20, 1988 , by Alderman Dickers0n
PASSED and ADOPTED by the Laurel City Council on second
reading this 3rd day of Oanuary , 1989, upon a motion
by Alderman Dickers0n
