AMENDING SECTION 11.20.040 OF THE LAUREL
MUNICIPAL CODE, ESTABLISHING TIME PERIOD
FOR HOUSES IN TRANSIT
IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Laurel, Montana, that Section 11.20.040 is hereby amended to
read as follows:
Section 11.20.040. Duties of permittee.
under this chapter shall:

Every permittee

Notify the City Engineer in writing of the desired
change in moving date and hours as proposed in the
application;
Notify the City Engineer in writing of any and all
damage done to property belonging to the municipality
within twenty-four hours after the damage or injury
has occurred;

Replace the house in transit on a permanent foundation,
within City limits or within one (1) mile thereof as
approved by the City Engineer under all applicable
provisions of this code, or else remove the house
in transit from City limits and the surrounding one (1)
mile area within 7 calendar days after the house is
first removed from its original foundation or first
transported inside City limits or the surrounding one (1)
mile area.

This Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days
after final passage by the City Council and approval by the
Mayor.
Introduced on first reading at the regular meeting of the
City Council on December 20, 1988 , by Alderman R0dger$
PASSED and ADOPTED by the Laurel City Council on second
reading this 3rd day of 3anuary , 1989, upon a motion
by Alderman Dickerson
APPROVED by the Mayor this 3rd day of 3anuary
1989.
