PROVIDING FOR ENFORCEMENT OF
FENCE PERMIT ORDINANCE.
It is hereby ordained by the City Council of the City of
Laurel, Montana, that Section 15.14.020 is hereby added to the
Laurel Municipal Code, as follows:
Section 15.14.020 - Enforcment and Penalties
(1) This chapter shall be enforced by the Building Inspector
or his assistants.
(2) If on inspection, the condition or placement of a fence
is found not to comply with the requirements of this Code,
the building inspector shall issue written notice to the
owner, specifying the non-conformity and require the owner
to correct the same, as directed by the building inspector.
(3) Any person violating a provision of this chapter shall,
upon conviction thereof, be punished as set forth in Section
1.16.020 of this Code.
This ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days after
final passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
Introduced on first reading at a regular meeting of the City
Council on December 6, 1988 , by Alderman Dickerson ,
and passed.
PASSED and ADOPTED by the Laurel City Council on second
reading this 20th day of December , 1988, upon motion by
Alderman Dickers0n
