ESTABLISHING AND REQUIRING A PERMIT FOR
CONSTRUCTION, ALTERATION, OR REPLACEMENT
OF FENCES.
IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Laurel, Montana, that Section 15.14.010 is hereby added to the
Laurel Municipal Code, as follows:
Section 15.14.010- Fence Permits.
(1) No person shall erect, construct, enlarge or replace
any fence until a fence permit for such work has been issued
by the Building Inspector. No such permit shall be valid
unless the proposed work is in compliance with Section
17.40.010 (D) and other applicable provisions of this Code.
(2) Whenever any work for which a fence permit is required
hereunder has been commenced without first obtaining said
permit, then the Building Inspector shall conduct a special
investigation before a permit may be issued for such work.
(3) The application fee for each permit issued hereunder shall
be $ 25.00. Whenever special investigation is required
hereunder, the fee for such investigation shall be $ 25.00,
and shall be in addition to the permit fee.
(4) Application§ for fence permits shall be made on forms
approved by the Building Inspector, and shall be submitted
with the required fee.
This Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days after
final passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
