HomeMy WebLinkAboutLibrary Board Minutes 04.23.1985 Minutes of the LAUREL PUBLIC LIBRARY /'■ DATE- 04/23/8G ATTENDANCE -Ruth Baker(presiding),Gwen Nottingham,Happy Gass, and Peggy Arnold MINUTES -read and approved COORESPONDENCE- -none WARRANTS -11 REPORT OF THE LIBRARIAN- traffic up 16.9 %,circulation down 6.6% FINANCIAL -The finance committee has accepted the preliminary budget with only a few minor changes. Our cost per circulation for this year is $1.26 and the county circulation for 1944 was 11,104. The contract amount for welkin to county patrons is $13,991.04. The contract amount for welkin for Laurel residents to use the Parmly Billings Library is $3,273.40. Reserves will be purchased for $200, fiche catalog for $74.75 and film rental for $S0 for a total contract amount of $3,598.20. FEDERATION ADVISORY BOARD--The 1985 -86 CST Plan of service was presented and discussed. The representatives will ask their boards if they approve of a 2 year plan of service. The Large Type Catalog will not be printed if CST revenues are not as much as expected and service groups will be contacted to help with the printing costs. Gay Walter was introduced as she will be applying for the Collection Development Grant. The next federation meeting will probably be August 24. NEW BUSINESS -Peggy may attend the WLN users meeting in Lewistown on May 1. The Yellowstone Valley Electric Cooperative has donated a book to the library.
