COMMUNICATIONS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS-Thenkyous from Ruth Baker end
Gwen Nottingham were read. The annual report to the Montane
State Library was prepared and submitted by Peggy Arnold. Ellen
Newberg,,director of the P. 8. .L., is planning ,a Yellowstone
County Legislative Day on Oct.10. Bonnie Preikszas will compose a
thank you letter for the clubs and organizations who have
contributed to the Building Fund. A letter will be sent to the
director of the Y.V.C.S. explaining our services. There will be a
Collection Development policy writing workshop at the P.B.L. on
Sept. 18 at 9 A.M. to which library board members are invited.
REPORT- Traffic for July was 2655, up 13% from July 85 and the
same as compared to June of 86. Circulation for July was 8463, up
19X from July 85 and up 7% from June of 86.
FINANCIAL-The budget for FY 86 -8? has been approved.
COMMITTEES REPORTS-
FEDERATION ADVISORY BOARD -The next meeting will be Sept. 27
or Oct. 18.
GRANT -Adele was appointed chairman of the grantwriting
committee. The 8N grant will forwarded to Mr. Delano this week
for review,
FUNC)RAISIN6 -Gene Williams was appointed chairman.
P.A.L.S.--Peggy gave a report of the meeting she attended on
August 14.
OLD BUSINESS -The Friends of the Library organization meeting was
held on August 20. Ellen Ready and Bayles Boehnke were elected
co-chairman, Edna Shuey elected secretary and Margaret Fox was
elected treasurer.
NEW BUSINESS - Evelyn Crow is resigning as chairmen of the board
since she will be out of town for five months. Gene Wiulams was
elected to serve as chairman and Sedley Barsness will be vice
chairman.
NEXT MEETING- Monday Sept.22 at 9 =7.5
