MINUTES -read and approved
COMMUNICATIONS- received a card from C3N Foundation on Oct. 13
indicating receipt of our grant proposal., received a flyer
cencerninta the Gont;titutionel Initiative 27
REPORT OF THE LIBRARIAN - -Traffic for Sept. 06 was 2319, up 2X from
Sept.86 and up 7X from Aug,BG. Circulation was 4,669 for Sept.86
up 5% from aetp t . 8S and up I X from Aug. 86,
FINANCIAL- -no report
COMMITTEE REPORTS-
Federetion Advisory Board- -Adele Zink and Peggy Arnold
attended the Oct,18 meeting, Peggy stave a report of the meeting.
Fundraising-Gene Williams reported that her canvassers have
been unable to go out in the rural areas.
Foundation-action on establishi.na a foundation will wait
until after the election.
Friends of the Library --Gene Williams read through the bylaws
of the Friends. They will have a membership drive on Nov.21 and a
book sale on Nov. 22.
n NEW BUSINESS-Sene Williams will contact Mayor Gauthier to see if
he needs to have anyone from the board to serve on the city grant
committee.
OLD BUSINESS -Peggy Arnold described how she tented the -lob
candidates and then showed the results to the board. It wee moved,
seconded, and passed to have Peggy Arnold interview the three top
scoring candidates and to hire one of them with the approval of
Mayor Gauthier,
REVIEW OF BYLAWS -some item* such a hours and .sob titles were
updated in the bylaws of the Laurel Public Library.
OTHER BUSINESS -it we moved seconded, and passed to keep the same
names on the account from the fund drive.
