HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 928 ORDINANCE NO. 928 AMENDING SECTION 17.76.010 (N) CLARIFYING THE CASH IN LIEU OF OFF-STREET PARKING PROVISION. IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED that Section 17.76.010 (N) is hereby amended clarifying cash in lieu of off-street parking provision as follows: N. Cash in Lieu of Required Parking Spaces: If property subject to the off-street parking requirements of this section is not large enough to include the number of required spaces specified hereunder, or if the proposed location of the parking spaces, whether on-site or off-site, is undesirable in the opinion of the governing body, the city may accept a cash payment in lieu of some or all of the required number of parking spaces. Such payment shall equal $1,000.00 for each required space not being provided. Said payment shall be made at the time of application for the building permit to construct the building or improvement, and shall be deposited to the Laurel Parking Fund, to be used by the City for future acquisition, construction, maintenance and improvement of City owned parking spaces. This ordinance shall be effective Thirty (30) days after final passage and approval. Introduced and passed on first reading at a regular meeting of the City Council on December 15, 1987, by Alderman Meyers.
