MINUTES -read and approved COMMUNICATIONS-- re.ce.ived notification from the Burlington Northern Foundation that the Laurel Library will receive $30,000 from them for the building project, several letters have been received from groups and individuals in support of the building project. REPORT OF THE LIBRARIAN- -Traffic for Feb. 87 we, 2507 up 9% from Feb. 86, down 3% from Jan.87. Circulation for Feb. 87 was 4576, down 3% from Feb. 86, down 12% from Jan.87. FINANCIAL -the preliminary budget has been submitted, no meting has been set with the Finance Committee yet. COMMITTEE REPORTS - P.A.L.S. -Peggy Arnold reported on the meeting held March 12 GRANTS-next meeting .is March 26 at 1 UNFINISHED BUSINESS -The City Council approved the use of the site at 3rd Street and 8th Ave. to construct a library if L.S.C.A. money becomes available. NEW BUSINESS-- Donnie will send thenkyous to 8N Foundation and to Gene & Mel Williams. Ned to find out if the City Council needs to approve our L.S.C.A. grant application.
