Dear Members:
We are pleased to let you know that with the approval of
the State Library Commission the Laurel Public Library building
fund has been awarded a grant for $124,040. We now have a
total of $200,812.67 for our project. The total cost of the
project is $268,425 for a 6080 square foot building. We need
to raise approximately $68,000 within the next six months to
complete the finiancial committment for our project.
n We are very excited at the prospect of your new library becoming
a reality.
Your financial support and input for this project to date is
deeply appreciated. We are seeking your continued help
through contributions, fund raising projects, memorials, and
volunteer services to complete this project.

Dear Peggy:
At its May 2, 1987 meeting, the State Library Commission approved the funding
of your Library Services and Construction Act (LSCA) Title II construction
project.
The amount approved is $124,040.00.
Please respond in writing as to your acceptance of the grant award. If you
agree to accept, a contract will be drawn up between the State Library and
Laurel Public Library. The contract will include a payment schedule. LSCA
regulations state that one should not receive more in quarterly payments than
what one anticipates spending in that time period.
