DISCUSSION OF LIBRARY SITE -Chuck Goldy presented a lot plan to
show how the preliminary building design would flit on the parking
lot site if it was decided to build it there.
Motion- Evelyn Crow moved that we check with the State
Library to see if changing the site would affect our grant award.
Seconded and passed.
DISCUSSION -Chuck Goidy discussed the steps he takes from here to
finish the project. He will draw up a contract for his services
and send it to us for approval.
COMMITTEE REPORT - F OF THE LIBRARY
Ellen Ready reported that Eastern Star is donating WSW) to
the library, the NLW promotions did not bring in a lot of money,
but it gave the library a lot of publicity.
MINUTES -The minutes of the April 23 regular board and the special
meeting on May 21 were read and approved.
COMMITTEE REPORT - GRANTS
Gwen Nottingham 1s working on the Deluxe Check Printers
Grant. Gene Williams may be able to get a grant application from
Chevron.
COMMUNICATIONS- received a donation from the American Legion
Auxiliary-Rebekah Lodge It8E .
FINANCIAL- budget hearing was held at 5:0Z p.m. Tuesday May 28.
The contract amount for Welkin for Laurel residents to use the
Parmly Library will be 6SDa. The contract amount for Yellowstone
County residents to use the Laurel Public Library will be
S17,DSS.
REPORT OF LIBRARIAN- Traffic for April 1987 was 2875, the same for
April 88, down 1Z compared to March 87. Circulation for April 87
was 4452, down 2Z% from April 85 and down 11% from March 87.
ELECTION -It was moved, seconded, and passed to hold election of
officers.
