ATTENDING -Gene Williamstpresiding), Bonnie Preikszas, Evelyn

MINUTES -read and approved
CORRESPONDENCE- Received thankyous from Gene Williams and Mr.
Pope, received information about the half and half workshop to be
held in Helena on Oct. 23 & 24 and in Miles City Oct. 30 & 31.
MOTION -to pay the $20 registration for anyone who attends
the half and half workshop, seconded and passed.
Gary Temple has contacted Gene Williams about doing a metal
sculpture for the library, some discussion followed and the
consensus was that it should be considered at a later date.
REPORT OF LIBRARIAN - Traffic for Aug. 87 was 2283, up S% from Aug.
86 and down 7% from July 87. Circulation for Aug. 87 was 4219,
down 7% from Aug. 86 and down 13% from July 87.
FINANCIAL -There is $76,754.32 in the Capital Projects Fund.
COMMITTEE REPORTS -
PIONEER LETTERS- Evelyn went over the replies from the
pioneer let "rs. Gene and Evelyn worked on a letter to send to
local individuals.
MOTION -to send the letter to local pioneer families,
seconded and passed.
P.A.L.S. -Peggy attended the Sept. 10 meeting at which the
Laser Cat was presented.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS - Received a signed copy of the architects
agreement from CB6 Architects.
NEW BUSINESS -Jim Flisrand will be given a copy of Braun
Engineerings study of the building site.
MOTION -to ask the Friends to pursue a coupon project,
seconded and passed.
Gary Temple then showed some sketches of a metal sculpture for
the new library.
NEXT MEETING- Thursday Oct. 22 at 9:30 a.m.
