ATTENDANCE -Gene Wil1iams(chair), Evelyn Crow, Bonnie Preik.szas,
Adele Zink, Camb Calvert(had to leave early), Peggy Arnold, and
Chuck. Goldy( arrived at 10:30).

TRUST REPORT -Camb suggef'ted that two members be added to the
trust board to make it a five member board. They will meet next
week.
COMMUNICATIONS -The Montana State Librarian, Sarah Parker, visited
the library on Oct. 15. A signed contract from Parmly Billings
Library has been received. Mel Williams has been in communication
with the BN Foundation, Mountain Bell, and Chevron Resources Co.
concerning their grant programs.
REPORT OF THE Lt8RARIAN- Traffic for September was 2,318 the same
as Sept. 86, up 1.5% from Aug. 87. Circulation was 4,335, down 5%
from Sept. 86, up 3X from August 87.
FINANCIAL -The building project has 377,681.83 in it and we
received a bill from Braun Engineering for 31350.
COMMITTEE REPORTS -
FRIENOS -have had no meetings
P.A.L.S. -Peggy Arnold attended the Oct. 9 meeting at which a
literacy workshop was presented by Meagan Fite of the State
Library.
ARCHITECT -Chuck Goldy presented some changes in the building
plan to include a sink and restroom in the employee work area.
NEW BUSINESS - Evelyn Crows resignation from the library board has
been accepted by the city council. Sue Carter has been appointed
to fill her term which expires June 30,1988. Gene Williams
expressed the boards appreciation for Evelyns hard work while she
was on the board. Coffee and cookies were served at this time and
Evelyn was presented with a mug with the American Library
Association symbol on it.
