DATE -Dec. 17,1987
ATTENDING -Gene Williams(presiding), Sue Carter, Adele Zink,
Bonnie Preiksaas, Peggy Arnold, Elsie Johnston
Laurel History Book -Elsie Johnston reported that the books will
be stored at Fitchner Chevrolet and a bill of sale will be
presented in January. Elsie had to leave at this time.
MINUTES -read, corrected, and approved
COORESPONDENCE- received a card from Evelyn Crow. Mountain Bell
Foundation presented a $2,000 grant to the building project.
REPORT OF THE LIBRARIAN- Traffis for Nov.87 was 2,178 down 4X from
Nov. 86 and down 19Z from Oct. 87. Circulation for Nov. 87 was
3,676 down 17X from Nov. 86 and down 22Z from Oct. 87.
FINANCIAL -The capital projects fund now has $79,887.14 in it.
COMMITTEE REPORTS -
GRANTS -Adele reported on the progress of the Hamilton
library construction project. The grant committee will meet in
January. Thirty -nine applications have been received for the aid
position. Nine have been selected to be given a library skills
test.
