AMENDING SECTION 5.36.115, OF THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL
CODE, OPEN CONTAINER ORDINANCE
IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City
of Laurel, Montana, that Section 5.36.115 of the Laurel
Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
1. No person shall drink or consume any alcoholic
beverage in, on, within or upon any motor vehicle or any public

within any motor vehicle or upon any public place within the

4. Any person, firm or corporation violating the
provisions of this section shall be fined in an amount not less
than Twenty-Five Dollars ($7.5.00) or more than Five Hundred
Dollars ($500.00) for each offense, and a separate offense
shall be deemed committed for each day during or on which a
violation occurs or continues.

5. This ordinance shall not affect or prohibit any
person carrying or transportinq any alcoholic beverage in
sacks, cases, boxes or cartons or other similiar containers
with unbroken seals or containers.
This ordinance shall be effective Thirty (30) days
after final passage and approval.
