ATTENDING -Gene Williams(presiding), Bonnie Preikszas, Adele Zink,
Campbell Calvert, Peggy Arnold, Donna Kilpatrick, Claude Cory,
Burt Kucera, Paul Thomas, Milt Wester, Elsie Johnston, Gwen
Nottingham, Merle Cherry, Sue Carter, Polli VanNice(arrived later),
Chuck Goldy(arrived later).
MINUTES -Read and approved(regular and special meeting minutes)
CORRESPONDENCE -It was moved, seconded, and passed to accept the
request by the Laurel Volunteer Firemen to purchase and plant a
tree at the new library in honor of Elsie Johnston.
Gene Williams pointed out some items in the News Update from the
Montana State Library.
(There was a short recess for the Trust members to meat and be
presented with the contract for the Laurel History Book. Campbell
Calvert will check on the insurance for the books.)
COMMITTEE REPORTS -
FEDERATION ADVISORY BOARD MEETING -The next meeting will be
in Hardin at the Big Horn County Library and will be followed by
an open house and dedication of the addition and remodeling of
the Big Horn County Library.
REPORT OF THE LIBRARY- Traffic for Dec. 1987 was 1,967 dawn 23%
from Dec. 1986, down 11% from Nov. 1987. Circulation was 3,571
down 21% from Dec. 1986 and down 3Z from Nov. 1987.
FINANCIAL -The Capital Projects Fund total is $81,694.66.
MEETING ADJOURNED -Next meeting Feb. 25 at 9

REPORT BY C8G ARCHITECTS
Chuck Goldy presented a model showing the detail of the roof design
and the ceiling structure for the center of the building. He presented
drawings of the windows and the entry ways. The use of bricks to finish
the exterior of the end walls was also discussed. All items were
acceptable to the board.
