AMENDING SECTION 17.32.010, OF THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL
CODE, TO ADD AND ALTER CERTAIN PERMITTED USES IN
HIGHWAY COMMERCIAL ZONES AND LIGHT INDUSTRIAL ZONES
IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City
of I~urel, Montana, that Section 17.32.010 of the Laurel
Municipal Code is hereby amended to add and/or alter the
fo]lowing permitted uses o.f lands in Highway Commercial Zones
and in Light Industrial Zones:
1. The following uses of lands are hereby added to the
list of allowed land uses in Highway Commercial Zones, subject,
however, to special review in each case:
Fertilizer sales - wholesale
Food processing
Meat processing - excluding slaughter plants
Metal fabricating
Prefabricated building materials assembly
and manufacture
Laboratories for research and testing
Machine shop
Manufacturing - light manufacturing not
otherwise mentioned in which no excessive
fumes, odors, smoke, noise, or dust is
created
Woodworking shop
2. The following uses of lands are hereby added to the
list of allowed land uses in Highway Commercial Zones:
Sign manufacturing
Stone cutting
3. The following uses of lands are hereby added to the
list of allowed land uses in Light Industrial Zones, subject,
however, to special review in each case:
Fertilizer - wholesale
Meat processing - excluding slaughter plants
Metal fabrication

4. Ail other uses listed in the said section of the
Laurel Municipal Code shall be and remain unchanged, and in
full force and effect.
This ordinance shall be effective Thirty (30) days
after final passage and approval.
Introduced and passed on first reading at a regular
meeting of the City Council on June 16 , 1987 by
