AMENDING SECTION 5.48.040 OF THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL CODE
IN REGARD TO CITY LICENSE FEE FOR ELECTRONIC VIDEO DRAW
POKER MACHINES AND ELECTRONIC BINGO AND KENO MACHINES
IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City
of Laurel, Montana, that Section 5.48.040 of the Laurel
MuniciDal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 5.48.040. Fees.
Before issuing any licenses as defined in this chapter,
the City or County Treasurer shall charge and collect from each
applicant license fees as follows:

B. Bingo or Keno:

2. For electronic or coin oeprated games or machines,

C. Electronic Video Draw Poker Machines:

individuals other than n6n-profit organizations or
offering or operating any electronic video draw poker
defined under state law, Ten Dollars ($10.00) per
year up to a maximum of Five (5) such machines.

APPLICATION OF NEW FEES
The said license fees of Ten Dollars (S10.00) per
machine shall be due on or before July 17, 1987 and shall be
for the period July 17, 1987 through June 30, 1988.
Thereafter, said fees shall be due and collectable in
accordance with the provisions of Section 5.04.080 of this
code. (This paragraph shall not be codified as it is temporary
in nature.)
This ordinance shall be effective Thirty (30 davs
after final passage and approval.
Introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council on
June 2 , 1987 by Alderman Meyers
