Regular meeting of the
Laurel Public Library Board of Trustees
Feb. 28,1989
Attending -Gene Williams(chair), Adele Zink, Sue Carter,
Bonnie Preikszas, Peggy Arnold
Minutes -The minutes of the regular meeting held Jan.
24 and special meeting minutes of Jan. 31 and Feb. 14
were read and approved.
Coorespondence -The Library of America acknowledged
receipt of our grant request.
Report of Librarian - Traffic for January 89 was 2,525 up
14% from Jan. 88 and up 19% from Dec. 88. Circulation
for January 89 was 4,454 up 3% from Jan.88 and up 35%
from Dec. 88.
Committee Reports
Federation Advisory Board meeting -Adele Zink and
Peggy Arnold reported on the meeting held Feb. 25 at the
Laurel Public Library. Gene Williams also attended the
meeting.
Unfinished Business -The dedication and open house for the
new library will be planned for June.
New Business -A motion was passed to allow the S.C.O.R.E.
organization to have a display during National Business
Week May 6 -13.
Next meeting -March 28 at 1:30 p.m.
