Attending -Sue Carter(presiding),Donna Kilpatrick,Burt
Kucera, Peggy Arnold. Guest - Luanne Engh
Book Sale- Luanne Engh, acting as a representative of
the Laurel Babysitting Co -op, requested permission
to conduct a used book sale at the Library Nov. 8 from
6 -7:30 p.m. and Nov. 10 from 10 a.m. -lp.m. A motion
was passed to allow the Babysitting Co -op to conduct
a book sale at the library.
Minutes -read, corrected, and approved
Communications -We received a copy of the revised draft
for voluntary certification to be discussed at the
Mont. State Library Commission meeting. The Montana
State Reading Conference will be held Oct. 18 &19 in
Great Falls.
Circulation Report- Traffic for August 1990 was 1,902
down 16.7% from August 1989. Circulation for August
1990 was 3,306 down 25% from August 1989. Note:the
Chidren's reading program was held in Aug. of 1989
to account for the lower circulation and traffic in
August of 1990.
Committee Reports -The next Federation Advisory Board
meeting is Oct. 20.
Unfinished - Billings Neon has been contacted about signs
or letters for the library exterior.
New Business -A luncheon will be held on Oct. 10 to
honor retired board members Bonnie Preikszas and Gene
Williams.
Next meeting Oct. 23 at 6:30 p.m. with a reception
for the Montana State Library Commission to follow
at 7 p.m.
