LAUREL PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES
July 28,1992
Attending -Donna Kilpatrick(presiding), Burt Kucera,
Shirley Vennes, Peggy Arnold
Minutes -read and approved
Communications -We received confirmation on our
movies from the Montana Committee for the Humanities
to be shown on the 23rd and 30th of September.
We received our Federation mini -grant in the amount
of $950 and we received our per capita and per
square mile State Aid from the Montana State Library
for fiscal year 93 -94. The preliminary budget
has been approved. A statue of Chief Joseph is
being housed at the library for the unincorporated
Laurel Women in Business. Ellen Ready is going
to recommend that the chairs from the Museum be
placed in the library. The L.S.C.A. laser -cat
grant is due Sept. 25,1992.
Committees -
P.A.L.S.-A literacy workshop will be held at the
Laurel Public Library on Sept.12 or Sept. 19.
There may be a workshop on policy manuals later
on and the Blue Bear Group is doing a Federation
Study for the State Library.
Circulation and Traffic - Traffic for June 92 was
2,501 up 23% from June 91. Circulation for June
92 was 3,838 up 21% from June 1991.
Old Business -Peggy will try to get to Coburn's
to purchase a new flag.
New Business -Donna will bring some marketing information
to the next meeting.
